Derby De Mayo

We're excited to bring our Derby party back and continue the Mexican flare in honor of Cinco De Mayo!

We'll have a piñata, several yard games set up, a few gambling activities, a bounce house, and we now have a trampoline!!!

We will provide a main course (Mexican/Derby fusion), a barrel or 2 of quality beer, margaritas, mint juleps, and plenty of NA options. We'll plan to have everything outside, so bringing a lawn chair is encouraged.

What's Happening!

Appetizer Contest

An original from the inaugural Derby party of 2019, but now the best dish receives more than just bragging rights. Each appetizer will be added to a ballot and the dish with most votes will win 5% of the horse auction pool!

Horse Auction

What the Derby's all about! Each horse is auctioned off to the highest bidder. The race commences around 5:30, so Tim will announce the live auction at 4:30. There will be 2 payouts: 1st Place - 70% and 2nd Place - 25%

Horse Squares Pool

A fan favorite! Squares pool will have all the horses listed along the top and left sides. The horizontal and vertical axis will be the 1st and 2nd place horse, respectively. If your square lines up, you win the pot! $0.50 per square

Kids Activities

There is fun for all ages, but this year we've added a trampoline and a basketball hoop, in addition to the bouncy house! The yard will also have plenty of games set up, a baseball diamond, and the traditional piñata!
