Join us for our 5th Annual Derby De Mayo and the celebration of Tim's big 4-0! To honor our featured 80s baby, we will be bringing in an 80s cover band, The Breakfast Club 🎸
Live horse auction, appetizer & costume contest, yard games, piñata, bounce house, and much more!
What's Happening!
Appetizer Contest
An original from the inaugural Derby party of 2019, but now the best dish receives more than just bragging rights. Each appetizer will be added to a ballot and the dish with most votes will win 5% of the horse auction pool!
Costume Contest
Each year we see outfits based on the Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo, but this year, include your favorite 80s attire amongst these categories. Best dressed will receive 5% of the auction pool, as determined by a public vote.
Horse Auction
What the Derby's all about! Each horse is auctioned off to the highest bidder. The race commences around 6:00, so Tim will announce the live auction at 5:00. There will be 3 payouts: 1st - 60%, 2nd - 20%, and 3rd - 10%
Horse Squares Pool
A fan favorite! Squares pool will have all the horses listed along the top and left sides. The horizontal and vertical axis will be the 1st and 2nd place horse, respectively. If your square lines up, you win the pot! $0.50 per square
Kids Activities
There is fun for all ages! There will be a bounce house, trampoline, and the traditional piñata. The yard will also have plenty of games set up, including corn hole, can jam, kubb, a baseball diamond, basketball, and soccer.
